Nice choice of a darker 'color' for the butterfly, it keeps it the focus of both the wolf cub and your viewers, a lighter shade would have been lost.

You say it's only an excercise well damn, I will never be able to draw at that level ever. What can I say, It tells a story so well and easly, the tittle "Childhood" sums the image up perfectly too. As a tumbnail it looked as if it was a photo. Unbelivable!

Amazing! Your dynamic range is excellent. The wisps of white (lit-up) hair against the darker backgrounds are a really nice touch. Great job maintaining the detail in the fur, with very precise lines of alternating shade.

Stunning. When I saw this thumbnail I thought it was a photograph. I can't deal with insects but I love the butterfly. The detail, highlighting and shading is amazing. The wolf is very beautiful and endearing. The only thing that occurs to me (other than to sit here repeating "wow!" is that the left paw should be more focused due to it's proximity to the viewer, but I have not seen the photo reference and besides, it's a minor point when viewing the whole image.
