YA! a vector! you did really well with the skin... did you blend or blur?
also the little metal beads those are great is that all one gradient? or is it a few shapes to make one bead.

study that till your eye balls bleed and trust me you will be making bushes like no tomorrow..
I mean if you like the program illustrator that much
its very hard to find good brushes for vector so I took it upon my self to teach people how to make there own.
You can make brushes to do hair eye lashes eye brows and do line work.

Pam : Half of the skin has been done with g-mesh but when I've been tired of using this tool, I've started to use the blur filter

The small metal beads are done with 4 shapes and a gradient I think (I don't remember) I'll post a link with the lines structures only

Nice work Diane! Good composition. I like the tattoo with it's Oriental influenced style,and the lizard that has a aboriginal feel to it. Also, thank you for the comment on the frame of my Colosseum piece: you were 100% correct and I changed it to a darker value which I believe is much more effective. Nice piece for the make a change contest!

Very impressive!

Very high impact with this art Diane. Good contrast and colors. I don't care for the look of the green trim of her dress though. To me, it doesn't seem to blend well with the image as a whole.

Nevertheless, excellent work as always.

I love that tribal parts of the tattoo... near the fin and tail... they look like claws... great detail there but... why did you leave the top fin without it?
She is just perfect, I like the design for the dress... using "low quality" for the iguana was very intelligent.
The question is... who is she? is she a hore? a teenager at a party maybe? or is she anybody, just a design? I don't know if you care about that... if you do, you may consider adding something to the background, even if its some abstract shapes... you know... just to put her somewhere...
One more thing... her eyes... they are great, perfect, no mistakes, but they have no expression... I think it's because of her eyebrows. Of course that adding some wrinkles would go against the style... but oh well... it's just what I see...

tito- I don't know why I have not done a tribal thing on the top fin, it may be because I don't have felt the need to do it About the girl, she has no story. In fact, I just wanted to do vectors for the contest I agree with you about the background and eyes, I'll try to do that next time thanks for your constructive crit!

I'm not so into illustrator but i think it's a great work the only thing that is bothering me a bit is the hair, because for my flavour the style of it differs a bit too much from the rest though i like the hair itself

Maybe kittykat is the queen of illustrator...but your are trying to kick her of that place very beautifull red....love red haired people......hope my next girlfriend will be one...... 8/8 vote klike it a lot...especially the fact she isn't common but a bit alternative to the mainstream of alternative o.O ^^
